The Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps is ascending to new heights thanks to the support of our alumni, family, volunteers, supporters, and donors! But as the Blue Knights compete on the field, we need your help to ensure they continue to be successful.
As the members and staff put the finishing touches on "The Great Event" (read more about the show here), a new challenge has arisen. The Blue Knights will "compete" against the Troopers in the 3rd annual "Rocky Mountain Rivalry" to raise the most money by midnight Saturday, July 16th (Minnesota DCI Regional). Aside from bragging rights, the drum corps that collects the most donations within that time period wins the Rivalry! The "losing" drum corps director will wear the shirt of the "winning" drum corps and pose in front of the equipment truck. Last year, the Blue Knights were victorious–help us do it again (read about a previous year here)!
Did you know? Member fees only pay for 41% of what it costs to run a summer tour! The other 59% comes from merchandise and event profits, performance fees, bingo and DONATIONS. We are asking you to help the Blue Knights as they experience the summer of a lifetime. This is our biggest fundraiser of the summer and we hope you will be willing to step up to help us meet our goal. This money will be used to provide food and fuel for the corps on the road, as well as educational opportunities for future members as we move into recruiting for the 2017 season.
